Six Flags trip!
Waiting for Batman.
Going up...
After the first ride of the day.
Lena and Nina looking happy.
Nina strikes from the shadows...
It's a drink-off!
For some reason, Backstreet Boys was on Nina's compilation CD.
Fab four minus one.
Striking a pose.
First ride. We just had to purchase this thing. Hilarious. By the third time, all four of us managed to pull off a Fonz at the camera.
Steph got a dwarf lop named Peter! Super adorable.
Latest desktop setup, minus the second keyboard (keyboard, mouse, & middle VGA on a KVM now).
Ran out of desk space, so I had to create a desk extension for my printer & boxen.
Steph cradling peter. I know, not very dwarf. He's a large dwarf. Nuh, take that.
Putting four kayaks onto a zipcar.
Whitewater kayaking over in Deerfield.
Some smoother water, so I can actually take pictures.
Bavetta and Danny getting pumped for some class 3 rapids. Steph and I chickened out since it was our first time whitewater kayaking... and dude, it's totally harder than whitewater rafting. We've done high fours without a problem in a raft. Kayaks flip way too easily.
Danny taking advantage of the underwater housing.
Steph painting her room from the ugly red to a mint hint.
Snow Patrol concert in Boston.
Mmm, face.
Lies, they're all telling lies!
Jenn with her new kitten, Nixon.
Playing with the 20D.
Bunch of us at UNO's Monday night karaoke.
Steph's beautifully singing some Sarah McLachlan.
Eating at Rosebud's Diner in Davis Square. Mmm, breakfast for lunch.
Lena and Topher.
Me and Tina.
It's a funny hat party where I don't know what the hell is going on.
Aaaand EC Rush begins!
And so does Discover Ocean Engineering at the same time. Some of the new kiddies!
Class of '10... oh-ten? ten?
Working away on their seaperches.
Harbor cruise on the first night. Yummy mexican food.
Beautiful sunset over MIT.
Megatwister!
The beginnings of the new rollercoaster, superman style.
The beginnings of the new inverted swing designed by Bavetta.
Testing seaperches.
Underwater investigation.
Damn coolest underwater photo I've seen in a while.
Josue's bar-loft. Freaking amazing. Everything was made by himself.
Seafood at No Name Seafood. Mmm mmm tasty.
Driling huge axle holes through 6x6 posts with a drill press outdoors.
Visited Mystic Aquarium.
Lucky picture where the clownfish is the only thing not blurred at all.
A good half of the DOE kids were playing Mafia inside some random seamen compartment in a whaling vessel at the Mystic Seaport. We got rained out, poo.
When the rain gave up, we got our group shot in.
Much more of the new rollercoaster's been built.
Testing the sea perches off the docks of WHOI.

The octotub. (Octagonal hot tub.)
Raising the arm to insert it into the frame.
Fully mounted, standing tall and proud.
Official name is Jesus: The Ride. (Thanks to Bavetta for these pictures.)
Getting strapped in to ride.
What it's like when you get to the other side...
Hall rush! Simple open-air fire tornado.
Shooting water balloons at people on the trampoline, and across the parallels to opposing halls.
Cameron's laser light show. Simply a laser reflecting off a piece of glass glued to a conical speaker.
Liquid nitrogen ice cream.
Taking cinnamon shots for the food challenge. You can sort of see the puffs of brown from people choking. Woo, food challenges are always exciting...
Playing some hockey in the hallway... with flaming tennis balls!
Damon's amazing propellor bike. Very fun to ride... yet very likely to chop off a passerby's arm.
Semester's coming up... taking Marine Power & Propulsion, Measurement & Instrumentation, Intro to Naval Architecture, and hopefully Intro to Archaeology. Updates will be even less frequent than they already are. =P
| | hide the rum! |
The second Pirates of the Caribbean was just as well done, and the last song on the soundtrack is amazing. As are all the others.
I'll hopefully be posting my photos in a more organized fashion (directories, thumbnails, etc.) at www.eddiehuo.com as soon as I figure out a perl script that'll do it or something.
But for now...
Machining away for ROV. | A CNC lathe takes away material from HDPE to make cowlings.
Nina happy with her piece of cheese. | Family photograph. Except uncoordinated.
Normal us. | Hiding behind hair.
Washing some dishes and posing for the photograph, while Margarita is trying to run away.

When cats attack! | And the late-arrival gang.
Steph playing with strobe photography. | iPod earphones. | Swinging arms.
Taking a day off to enjoy the beach. | Beachy scene.
Making a sand wall to stop the incoming waves! To no avail. | Me and Steph.
Using a multi-million dollar simulator where I can make multi-million dollar simulated mistakes! But it was damn cool. We're totally making one of our own next year.
A typical night at ROV... coding, soldering, frantically calling around, testing, etc. | What the finished product kinda looked like.
Taken apart to test motor functionality. | Team picture.
A diver had to rescue our ROV that snapped its own tether. xP | Received a smacking from a bear.
Fourteen ounces of filet mignon. Mmm. | And tons of choices for dessert.
Our Technical Report award, with our team captain immediately behind it.
A little pamphlet that the hotel gave us. Ridiculousness.
New ladder! Sturdy as hell. With the help of the summer roommate.
July 4th boating project. Started the night of July 2nd. That's how much was done in 3 hours. | Another 6 hours later... painting on the "Starstruck Blue" latex paint.
Lowering it out the window on the fourth. We totally designed for this. | Had to remove some windows...
The bolt in the ceiling was totally capable of holding 300+ pounds.
Wheeling the boat to the dock. | Almost like a Oregon Trail wagon. Fording the river.
Steph and me chilling in one end of the boat. | The four of us paddling... while Steph takes pictures.
Lifting the boat off the sailing pavilion dock onto Mass Ave the next afternoon.
Potstickers for dinner! Yum. Perfectly golden brown.
Steph noticed a striking similarity between me and these 1980's nerds.
The Fab4 in the AMC Fenway theater for the opening showing of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.
It was Cameron's birthday today, so last night Jen made him a birthday cake while we gamed halo to keep him busy. It even has a green "X", symbolizing the XBOX. =P
